Four days of live music return to Burlingame Avenue in October with the Burlingame Live festival.

The event runs Thursday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. each day in the heart of the downtown shopping and dining district, the Burlingame/SFO Chamber of Commerce announced on X on Sept. 10. The Chamber described the festival as four days of live music and community on the Avenue.

The lineup has not been announced. Pricing and street-closure details are also still pending.

Building on a 2024 debut

Burlingame Live is not brand new. The Chamber debuted a "reimagined" version of the event in 2024, drawing 150 to 200 attendees each night.

"The reimagined Burlingame Live event brought 150-200 attendees each night, with the Chamber hoping to partner with the City to make it an annual tradition," Susan Baker, the Chamber's president and CEO, told the Burlingame City Council's Economic Development Subcommittee in a year-end review in November 2024.

At that meeting, the Chamber's 2025 calendar listed the event as tentatively moving to September 2025. The 2026 edition lands in October instead.

A different event from On The Avenue

Burlingame Live is separate from Burlingame On The Avenue, the long-running two-day summer festival that celebrated its 32nd year on Aug. 15–16. That event, also produced by the Chamber in collaboration with California Artists, drew more than 8,000 attendees in 2024, according to Baker's subcommittee presentation.

Where On The Avenue is a large-scale weekend street fair, Burlingame Live is a smaller, music-focused series spread across four evenings.
