Downtown Burlingame's longest-running summer block party returns next month.
The 32nd annual Burlingame on the Avenue street festival will shut down Burlingame Avenue on Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16, 2026, for two days of live music, food vendors, and family activities in the heart of the shopping district.
Admission is free.
The Burlingame/SFO Chamber of Commerce produces the festival in collaboration with California Artists. The event launched in 1995 and has anchored the avenue's August calendar for more than three decades, drawing neighbors to hear Bay Area jazz, rock, and blues bands on outdoor stages.
The Chamber posted a one-month countdown on July 18, saying its team was "hard at work behind the scenes" preparing the event and would share band lineups, vendor lists, and activity details in the weeks ahead. No specific performers or vendors had been confirmed as of that date.
What's planned
The Chamber's event page lists the following activities, consistent with past editions:
- Live music stages with jazz, rock, and blues acts
- Food vendors and a beer and wine booth
- A dedicated children's zone with rides, face painting, and a balloon artist
- Nonprofit booths and displays from Burlingame Police, Fire, and Parks and Recreation departments
- The 3rd Annual Wheels Through Time Car Show on Sunday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (registration is open, according to the Chamber's Instagram page)
The City of Burlingame provides support and participation, according to the Chamber.
Practical details
The Facebook event listing shows hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. The festival runs along Burlingame Avenue near 417 California Drive. For sponsorship inquiries or event information, contact the Chamber at (650) 344-1735 or visit burlingamechamber.org.
