Burlingame staff will present an introduction to the Intro Series, a Camp Burlingame program, to the Parks and Recreation Commission when it meets Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m.
The meeting agenda lists two presentations for the seven-member commission, chaired by John Brunello, at the Burlingame Community Center, 850 Burlingame Ave.
The first is a Youth Advisory Committee update. The committee last presented to the commission on May 21, delivering an end-of-school-year report. The agenda does not specify a topic for the September session.
The second item is titled "Introduction to the Intro Series: Camp Burlingame," with a staff report attached. Camp Burlingame is the city's multi-activity camp program for children ages 5–14, based at the Community Center. Whether the "Intro Series" represents an addition to the existing program or a broader overview for commissioners was not clear from the agenda, and the staff report was not publicly accessible as of Sept. 10.
Commissioners will also review draft minutes from the Aug. 20 meeting, which included a tennis ball collection bin installation at Laguna Park Courts.
Residents can attend in person, join via Zoom (Meeting ID: 893 6567 3859, Passcode: 257810), or call 1-669-900-6833 with the same credentials. Written comments can be emailed to [email protected] by 4 p.m. on Sept. 17.
The next regular commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15.
