Bacchus Management Group has opened The Old Post Office, a fine-dining restaurant inside Burlingame’s historic former post office at 222 Park Road, beside the city’s new town square.

The restaurant opened for dinner Oct. 1, with weekday lunch scheduled to start Oct. 12 and weekend brunch scheduled to begin Saturday, Oct. 17, according to Eater SF.

Built in 1941, the former post office combines Spanish and Art Deco elements. Architects Louis A. Simon and Ulysses Floyd Rible oversaw its design, according to Burlingame’s historic-resource inventory.

The 92-seat dining room retains original marble, terrazzo floors, brass teller windows and mailboxes. The former postmaster’s office is now a 22-seat cocktail lounge, SFGATE reported.

“Buildings like this come around maybe once in a lifetime,” Bacchus president Tim Stannard told SFGATE.

Executive chef Jonathan Granada previously worked at Bouchon and The French Laundry in Yountville and Otium in Los Angeles. He joined Bacchus in 2025, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Opening coverage listed prix-fixe menus at $120 for dinner, $55 for lunch and $70 for brunch. The restaurant’s website describes dinner as three courses with additional offerings from the kitchen. The Postmaster’s Bar offers an à la carte menu.

A tableside duck service for two was offered at an $80 supplement to the prix-fixe menu, with six orders available nightly and advance ordering required, SFGATE reported. A 60-seat glass-walled solarium is planned for spring 2027.

The restaurant lists dinner nightly from 5 to 10 p.m., lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
