Circus Bella, the Bay Area family circus troupe performing across the region since 2008, brings its free "Circus in the Parks" tour to Burlingame Town Square on Saturday, July 25, with shows at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., running until 4:15 p.m.

This year's show, "A-HA!," features live original music by the Circus Bella All-Star Band and is open to all ages. No tickets or reservations are required.

The performance at Burlingame Town Square will be an early use of the square's built-in performance stage. Burlingame Town Square, the $6.4 million public space between Park Road and Lorton Avenue, opened in April after construction began in January 2025. Mayor Michael Brownrigg said at the April ribbon-cutting that the project was 16 years in the making, according to the San Mateo Daily Journal. The one-acre space replaced a surface parking lot and includes a grove of London Plane trees, a glass fountain, communal dining areas, and a flexible zone for markets, festivals, and performances.

Circus Bella has toured Bay Area parks and public spaces as part of its annual summer series. The troupe performed free shows at Burgess Park in Menlo Park on Saturday, July 4, earlier in its 2026 run. More information is available at circusbella.org.

Music in the Park continues Friday

Burlingame's Music in the Park series returns Friday, July 24, with Dept. of Rock performing at Washington Park, 850 Burlingame Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m., according to the city's events calendar. The free concert series runs on Friday evenings through the summer.

Beer and wine are available for purchase, and guests may bring their own food and drinks. Pets are welcome on leash. Parking around Washington Park is limited, so the city recommends arriving early.

The series continues Friday, August 7, with Bayonics.
