Kids heading to Burlingame On The Avenue on Aug. 15–16 can get their stuffed animals patched up by real paramedics, challenge friends to a chess match, or hop aboard a kids train — all within a few blocks of downtown Burlingame Avenue.

The Burlingame/SFO Chamber of Commerce announced on X the full lineup for the Kids Zone at this year's 32nd annual street festival. The zone, located between Park Road and Primrose Road, will feature six activities across both days: teddy bear triage run by AMR San Mateo County, chess with Burlingame-based Grupology, bounce houses, face painting, a kids train and three rides.

AMR San Mateo County, the county's 911 ambulance provider since 1998, is a Silver Sponsor of the festival and will staff the teddy bear triage station. Grupology, a learning center at 1419 Chapin Ave. in downtown Burlingame that offers chess classes and rated tournaments for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, will run the chess activity.

The festival runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 on Burlingame Avenue and surrounding streets. The Burlingame/SFO Chamber of Commerce expects more than 65,000 attendees over the two days.

The festival also includes live music, food vendors and a classic car show. The Kids Zone lineup, announced Aug. 4, is the first time the Chamber has detailed the specific activities and partner organizations for the children's area.

Grupology is also celebrating a milestone that weekend: the learning center opens a second location in San Mateo on Aug. 16, with a grand opening from 5–7 p.m.
