Little Sky Bakery, a Peninsula farmers market staple known for naturally leavened breads made with a century-old sourdough starter, will set up shop on Burlingame Avenue when the 33rd annual Burlingame On The Avenue street festival returns Aug. 15–16.

The Burlingame Chamber of Commerce announced the vendor on Monday, Aug. 3, calling Little Sky "a Bay Area farmers market favorite serving naturally leavened breads, fresh baked goods, cookies & savory treats, all handmade." The bakery, founded by former attorney Tian Mayimin, is a regular at markets in Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Mountain View, according to a KQED profile.

The two-day festival runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days on Burlingame Avenue and is expected to draw more than 65,000 attendees.

Classic cars on Lorton Avenue

Car enthusiasts get their own draw on Sunday, Aug. 16: the 3rd Annual Wheels Through Time Car Show, running 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Lorton Avenue. Among the featured vehicles is Larry Harper's restored 1959 VW 11-Window Micro Bus. Registration is still open. Owners of distinctive vehicles can sign up through the Chamber.

World-champion robotics team joins the lineup

Burlingame High School's Iron Panthers Robotics Team (FRC Team #5026) is listed as a community participant on the Chamber's event page. The student-run squad won the 2025 FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston in April 2025, beating more than 600 teams worldwide for their second world title after 2019.

"Our captains, the way they checked in with the team and kept everybody healthy, happy, focused really led to a cohesive team," mentor and BHS math teacher Christina Wade told The Burlingame B student newspaper after the April 2025 win. "And when you have a cohesive team, you can do a lot more than if people are at odds or struggling with things."

Other community groups confirmed for the festival include Acterra, Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts Burlingame, Cadence Senior Living, Coyote Lacrosse, Kincaid's Burlingame, Limitless Church, Porsche of Burlingame and Safeway.
